Modeling and Style : Walk This Way Productions

WTWP, LLC is a fashion show production company that also provides comprehensive model training for aspiring models/talent. The company was established in 1998 in Central Fla. . Our Runway101 training academy is incomparable; we offer 6 weeks of insightful, relevant material for all shapes and sizes.  The training is self esteem and confidence focused. Teaching industry standard runway basics, to include posing, stage presence & professional etiquette.  The Runway101 training serves as a basic introduction to the fashion industry from a models’ perspective; we discuss industry standards, dos and don’ts of casting calls, portfolio development, diet/nutrition, fitness and so much more.

This Fall we are also offering our advance Runway201 academy, for models with some level of experience that want to take their careers to the next level, it is designed for models that are confident and have a good understanding of what it takes to succeed in the industry. Runway201 is a high fashion model program for local models, this training is to correct, per-fect & improve their techniques & to learn official industry standards for runway and print modeling. It is also for 6 weeks.

We train in South Fla., during Spring, Summer and Fall, on Sundays for about 90 minutes per session. We offer a FREE session (flyer attached) before each academy begins, the fall free session will be held September 9^th it is not open to the public, models must RSVP to receive invite and location information.

I would appreciate your help in helping me to spread the word. I am well aware that we are the ONLY agency providing training at this level in all of Florida, being popular has never been the goal, being GOOD at what we do is.

Our trainings are race-less, weightless and ageless we welcome all shapes and sizes!

Music Spotlight : Anaiyah Sunshine

Here at the Miami Style Blog I wanted to present you some great news. As I always support brands far and wide this time I wanted to share about my path in music. There have been some updated changes to the blog which on the far right hand corner you will see an active music player playing my latest Ep " PlayList." The EP consists a variety of songs that would appeal to any ear.  The reason why the Ep was titled playlist because I wanted the listener to be open to a variety of music.

What inspired me to write music?
                  I have been classically trained to sing Opera actually by the University of Miami School of music. I can read sheet music from the age 7 and it has helped me along the way. My inspiration to write songs could be life experiences, family experiences and overall situations that I would feel it would be a great concept to write a song.
 You can find my music on all streaming platforms and presently I have a single deal with Sony music in a compilation album ent. Angie Stone Presents " Cornerstone."

Who inspired me to be an artist ?
My favorites are Billie Holiday, Etta James and ironically by fate and chance Angie Stone.
 Presently right now I'm in the process of writing a new collection (album) which I am so thankful to share with all of you .

Makeup Artist Highlight: FaceCaption

 

This makeup guru is so important to me because not only is he talented but also an amazing friend. I remember in his early stages how he would transform his muses every day and the world was not even aware of his artistry. He has glammed celebrities and more . As his talent rises and has become more of a demand,it is a delight to see someone so close to you become the artist they were born to be.

 

 

Its always a treat when you can bring out your muses natural beauty. Here in the photo above the muse is evenly toned, the eyes pop with a subtle neutral color and a natural lip.

 

In this photo above the muse's lower inner edge of eye is a delightful shade of white to bring out the eye and the eyelid has a warm neutral color that compliments her hair. The lip here is also a nice shade of pink and cheek bones are a warm brown .

 

What is so amazing about Face Caption is he compliments every clients shade, blends to perfection, and highlights each angle. In the photo above the muses skin is a beautiful chocolate shade frosted with beautiful highlight and warm blush on her cheekbone area. The lip is a natural but warm shade pleasing to the eye .

 

Be bold with a nice matte red as shown above but notice how the lip is bold but soft.

It is important when using matte as bold as red to leave the eye very clean . A nice cat eye as shown above and neat underline on the eyelid compliments this look. The brows are clean and not overdone which makes the whole face very beautiful.

Angie Stone presents: Cornerstone

 

We are extremely pleased to introduce to you a wonderful compilation album presented by 

Angie Stone entitled " Cornerstone" . This amazing soulful songstress wanted to showcase undiscovered talent in this album. Not only is this album pleasing to the ear but the song selection is so diverse and very up tempo.  

From the start you are welcomed with a beautiful songstress who just sets the tone and the album ends with a song that just wants you to get up and dance. Cornerstone is album that was made for any age and for everyone .

A Sweet treat for your Sweet tooth : Big Londas Kitchen

Everyone loves a buttery tasting cupcake  or a  delicious vanilla dipped strawberry from time to time  but sometimes we can not find the right catering service who can deliver. We see all the photos on the website and fall in love at first sight but never on first bite. We had the extreme pleasure of Interviewing Big  Londa's kitchen this past weekend in Miami Florida. 

 

Story of Big Londa's Kitchen

      Londa used to work as a caterer for a big catering company in Miami and one day she decided to go on her own. She is an experienced chef for over 15 years and can slay a cake or two as you can tell. We love her courage to venture out on her own and believe me one taste from her flavorful dishes will have you scheduling your next event catered by her.

We had the pleasure of meeting the owner of Forever 22 our number 1 nail technician in Miami in many occasions and have decided why not feature this amazing woman on the blog. At Forever 22 all clients are pampered with great conversation , pleasant smiles and amazing results. Be Creative - Tribute to Gianni Versace

It's been quite sometime that we have posted on our blog but reassured we are back . Our focal point in this blog post about being creative. Most people assume that creativity isn't something to be idolized for. Some say be creative but with restrictions . Gianni showed the world when he was alive fashion was bold, cuts were wild and patterns were ideal. His colorful choices of patterns, fabric and design shocked the entire world. When looking at a design by him it was original , fun , refreshing and bold.
Why not be bold right it's what we all live for? To be the one who stands out from the crowd. The diamond in the rough so to speak. We wanted to pay a tribute blog to him for it's been years since his passing and fashion has never been the same but in all fairness Gianni opened the doorways for emerging designers who were afraid to be themselves .

Indian Bridal Makeup by Anaiyah Sunshine - Kiss of Sultana Concept

I love Indian Bridal makeup since my mother's side of the family have roots from India this was a great tribute to my family's background. What I love about Indian Bridal makeup is the theme of being so exotic. The eyes are the keys to the soul and in this style of makeup it's just captivating.

I chose i really close friend of mine to be my Indian bride and since she is natively from India I knew she would make a wonderful muse. The photographer I used was Peter Alcazar. You can find his work here at www.peteralcazar.4ormat.com.

Tips of Indian makeup :
1.  Learn your color wheel see what colors that would really compliment each other. Highlight areas and be very steady with your blending of the brush. Also know about contrasts if the eyes are the main focus then tone the lip color and vice.versa.
2. Be daring ! If you feel a aqua blue shadow would compliment canary yellow then go for it. Its all a fantasy it never hurts to try.


Eventually I shared it on Iman Cosmetics on twitter and I love using their makeup eventually Iman Cosmetics returned my online post with an amazing response .

Inspiration: Toby Lynn Gems : Designer Spotlight

This designer is so creative. I love her designs and overall perception when it comes to her art. I was so happy to know she wanted to be featured on the blog and it's just a great delight to see her amazing work.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Toby Lynn Gems is the Brainchild of Toby Fischer. Ms Fischer is a long time member of the Fashion Community. She started her career as a journalist covering fashion and lifestyle In the United States and Abroad. Fischer grew up in a family immersed in the world of fashion; surrounded by designers. production and business people. When most children were playing with toys she was playing with luscious rare fabrics, jewelry trims, crystals and buttons. Ms Fischer went on to write the best selling book “Dress Code” (Understanding The Hidden Messages Behind Women's Clothing Choices) It was published by Random House and her dear friend and mentor the late Geraldine Stutz of Henri Bendel Fame. Ms Fischer is a long time collector of antique textiles, jewelry and clothing, she started collecting in her grandmother's and mothers closets and jewelry boxes. Ms Fischer began designing pieces for the theatre and special red carpet events. Soon afterwards, she started receiving requests for one of kind custom pieces. It took off from there.
